We would like to invite you to come and tour our mill as well as share part of your day with us learning about fiber and preparation for processing.
We are located about midway between Utica and Binghamton off route 12B, the address for your GPS is 384 Williams Road, Sherburne NY 13460.
We just moved to our new location on the 1st of November. So if you have been to the mill before, please take note of the new address.
In the fiber management discussion we will be talking about; preparing for shearing day, on shearing day, sorting/skirting your fiber, storing, what do I do with all this fiber, fiber blending, and touch on marketing. Plus question and answer. This is a free class and will be offered on an as needed basis.

Open House- Come and visit us at our new location, we have moved the mill to our house. We will give free mill tours every hour on the hour, you can see the yarn making process from start to finish. We will have refreshments. Feel free to bring friends and family who are interested and you are welcome to drop off fiber for processing as well. We will also have finished items for sale, a large selection of wool and alpaca roving and yarns, as well as socks, hats, mittens, scarves, rugs and more, warm woolies make nice Christmas gifts.

Rug Braiding/Shepherds Rug- in the class we will be making a coaster, but you will learn the techniques you will need to make a full size rug. We will be using rovings to make this project. Materials provided for 2 coasters $25.00

Locker Hooking- in this class we will learn the technique of locker hooking by making a hot pad. We will be using roving for this project. Materials provided $25.00

Felt Mittens-in this class we will be sewing together mittens made from felt pieces and embellishing them with needle felting and needlework. Materials provided $30.00

Beginning Knitting-Learn basic knit and purl stitches. Class includes 1 skein of yarn.

Crocheted Felted Bags- We will be making a simple crocheted bag, which can then be felted. Class fee $20.00 plus materials, we have yarns available.
Feb. 11th 2012 @ 10am-12pm
Needle Felting -Learn the basic techniques of needle felting. Will take home a finished project.

Feb. 18th & 25th 2012 @10am-12pm
Knitted Hat- We will help you pick a pattern, yarn and needles for the style of hat you would like to make. We will help you learn to read a pattern and help you learn any new stitches your project may require. $30.00 plus materials

Needle Felting- We will be doing a spring design, (pillow, placemat, wall hanging) your choice. Time to get creative! Materials provided $25.00
We are offering a knitting/fiber time from 1-3pm on Saturdays. Please contact me for a schedule. You can just come and work on your projects or if you need help with your project or to start a project I would be happy to help you.
We also offer hand spinning lessons on an individual basis, please contact us to set up at time that works well for you.
